The designs on LoveSVG are free to download with a free account. Here is what you can and can't do with them. The short version comes first; the full terms below it are what apply.

The short version

You can

  • Use any design for personal projects: gifts, home decor, parties, school and your own social posts.
  • Sell physical things you make with it, like shirts, mugs, signs, tumblers, decals and cards: up to 500 items per design.
  • Change the design: resize it, recolor it, add your own text.

You can't

  • Sell, share or give away the files themselves (SVG, DXF, PNG or any other format), even changed, in a bundle or as clipart.
  • Use a design in a logo or trademark.
  • Use the files to train AI or machine-learning models.
  • Make more than 500 items from one design without our written permission.
  • Suggest that LoveSVG made or endorses your products.

Credit isn't required. Designs come as they are, so test cut before a big run.

1. Who this license is with

LoveSVG is run by Inmagine Lab Pte Ltd (“we”, “us”), 11 Collyer Quay, #17-00, The Arcade, Singapore 049317. This license is between you and us. It covers every file you download or make on LoveSVG (“Files”): library designs, both new and classic, and the output of our tools, such as the name maker, box templates, the laser box generator, the keychain maker and the cut file editor. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

2. Who owns the designs

We or our licensors own the designs and keep all rights in them. We don't sell them to you; we give you a license to use them. The license is free, worldwide, non-exclusive and non-transferable: other people can download and use the same design, and you can't pass your license on to anyone else. Anything this license doesn't expressly allow is not allowed.

3. What you may do

  • Personal use. Use the Files to make things for yourself, your family and friends, and for non-commercial projects such as school, church, charity or community events.
  • Small-business use on physical products. Use the Files to make physical products that you cut, print, press, engrave or craft yourself (or that are made for your own small business) and sell them, up to 500 physical items per design in total. Each item counts once, however many places the design appears on it.
  • Showing your products. Show photos and mockups of the products you made in your shop listings, website and social media, as long as the design can't easily be copied out of the picture and used as a file.
  • Changing designs. Resize, recolor, combine and add to designs. A changed design is still covered by this license.

4. What you may not do

  • Share or resell the files. You may not sell, share, give away, sublicense or redistribute the Files, in whole or in part, in their original or a changed form, in any digital format (including SVG, DXF, PNG, PDF, EPS or JPG). This includes bundles, design packs, clipart and sticker sheets sold as files, printables, templates, digital downloads on Etsy, print-on-demand or marketplace sites, file-sharing groups and websites, and making the Files available for others to download.
  • Print-on-demand. You may not upload the Files to print-on-demand services where the design can be chosen, customized or bought by other people, or where the service keeps a copy it can reuse. Uploading a design only to fulfil your own orders counts toward your 500-item limit.
  • Logos and trademarks. You may not use a design, or a recognizable part of one, in a logo, trademark, service mark or business identity, or register it as a trademark or design anywhere.
  • AI and machine learning. You may not use the Files, or anything else from LoveSVG, to train, fine-tune, test or improve any artificial intelligence or machine-learning model, or include them in a dataset for that purpose. You may not scrape or bulk-download the site.
  • Mass production. You may not make more than 500 physical items from one design, or use a design in mass production or manufacturing by a third party for wholesale or retail distribution, without our written permission. Ask us at info@lovesvg.com.
  • Endorsement and authorship. You may not say or suggest that LoveSVG or Inmagine Lab Pte Ltd made, sponsors or endorses you or your products, or claim a design as your own original work.
  • Unlawful use. You may not use a design in a way that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful or misleading, or that infringes anyone else's rights.

5. Names, text and fonts

Many of our tools set your own text, such as a name or a phrase. You are responsible for the text you type and for having the right to use it, including names, team names, slogans or characters that belong to someone else. The fonts we use are free for commercial use under the SIL Open Font License or the Apache License 2.0. Our Files contain the letter shapes as cut paths, not the font software itself. If you download or install a font, its own license applies to the font software.

6. Your own uploads

When you turn your own picture into a cut file with Photo to SVG or PNG to SVG, or import your own artwork into the editor, your artwork stays yours, and this license doesn't limit how you use your own artwork. You are responsible for having the rights to anything you upload. This section doesn't apply to LoveSVG designs or to other people's work that you upload: those stay covered by this license or by their owner's rights.

7. Classic designs and third-party rights

Our new designs pass an automatic cut-ready check before they go live. Designs from our classic library (2021) are provided as they are. If a design includes a word, phrase or symbol that someone else uses as a trademark, you are responsible for any permission you need for your use.

8. No warranty

The Files are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. An automatic check is not a guarantee: how a design cuts, engraves or presses depends on your machine, blade, material and settings. Test cut before using expensive material or making a large batch.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising from the Files or this license, whether direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential, including lost profits, revenue, materials, time or data, even if we were told it might happen. You use the Files at your own risk. Nothing in this license limits liability that can't be limited by law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Inmagine Lab Pte Ltd against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Files in breach of this license, from text or artwork you add, or from products you make or sell.

11. Changes and removed designs

We may change, replace or remove any design at any time. If we learn that a design may infringe someone's rights, we may ask you to stop using it, and you agree to do so for anything you haven't already made. We may update this license; changes apply to downloads made after the update, and we will change the date above.

12. Ending this license

This license ends automatically if you break it. You must then stop using the Files and delete every copy you have. Sections 2 and 8 to 13 continue after it ends. We may also close your account under our Terms of Service.

13. Governing law

This license is governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer protections where you live.
