Before you press
- Test the settings on a scrap or a hidden spot of the same blank before pressing the real item.
- Cut HTV mirrored and place it face down with the carrier/liner on top.
- Wait 24 hours after pressing before the first wash.
- Wash inside out and do not bleach.
- Peel temperature matters: follow the product's hot, warm or cold peel; removing a cold-peel liner too early can stop the design transferring.
- Settings differ by base fabric and by press; use the setting for your exact material, fabric and machine.
Cold, warm or hot peel?
Cold peel means wait until the carrier sheet is cool to the touch; warm, until you can hold it comfortably; hot, peel right away. Peeling at the wrong time is the most common reason vinyl lifts.
